Chelsea Lawrence has over five years of interior design experience in a variety of vertical markets including hospitality, retail, healthcare, corporate office buildings, higher education, athletic club facilities, and tenant improvement.
Chelsea is an Interior Designer in Rowland+Broughton’s Denver studio and received her National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) in 2016. Currently she is working on the interior design for a number of hotel project, both branded and boutique, as well as renovations at a historic property in Boulder, Colorado. She is involved with all phases of design and supports computer modeling, rendering, and visualization efforts for within the studio.
An outdoor enthusiast, Chelsea’s passion for wilderness and intentional travel drives her perspective of experiential design and has recently influenced her pursuit of lifestyle blogging. Her study abroad experience at Florence University of the Arts (FUA) was the genesis of her appetite for innovation and exploration both professionally and personally. She graduated Magna Cum-Laude from Colorado State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She was recognized with several honors and scholarships including NEWH Icons of Industry Honorable Mention, NEWH Rocky Mountain Regional Scholarship, ASID Foundation Legacy Scholarship, CSU Top Interior Design Portfolio Award, and four Brass Ring Awards.
Her enthusiasm for leadership development, scholarships, and education within the design industry has drawn her to become invested with the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) for which she is currently serving as President for the Rocky Mountain Chapter.
My design career has included Restaurant Interior Designer, Capital Purchasing Manager, and most recently Specification Manager for LG Hausys. I am fortunate to work in an industry that I love, and have been given the opportunity to build relationships with designer and vendors that are invaluable. I believe that my drive to succeed in everything I do and my passion for the world of design has lead to a promising career in the design industry.
Ellen Armer is an independent multi-line hospitality sales rep in the Denver, Colorado area, representing a broad range of high-end product, from furniture to carpet to fabric and lighting. When she isn’t working, Ellen enjoys reading, cooking, sewing, bicycling with her husband Graham, and hiking and sailing with him and their dog Molly. She also spends as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren, who live in Cleveland and Raleigh, NC.
This is Ellen’s third year on the Rocky Mountain NEWH Chapter’s board, and she looks forward to many more!
