Rega is a Designer, originally from Los Angeles. She had the privilege of attending a private boutique college in Newport Beach, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She loves working in Hospitality and collaborating with professionals in her industry. As the Director of Student Relations. She looks forward to connecting students with the organization.

1. How/why did you become involved in NEWH? I started going to NEWH events in 2003 with my former employer. I became a member in 2005 of the South Counties Chapter. Once in the chapter, I became the Treasurer and held the position for 2 years. We grew our chapter and increased scholarships during my time on the board. Nine years and 10 months later I’ve received my membership acceptance cert to the Northwest Chapter NEWH! 2. Tell us about your personal/professional background. I started in the hospitality industry in 2003 as a sub agent for a multi-line rep in Southern California. We specialized in hospitality case goods, lighting, and carpet. In 2005 I made a change and went to Pacific Carpets. I completed thousands and thousands of room renovations as a project manager / salesman working with all vendors and contractors. When the recession hit in 2008, my wife had been laid off as a school teacher and my job saw a 2 year pipeline drain empty, we had to make a decision and decided to move to Seattle! We moved here in 2009 and I started my multi line company taking on Brintons Carpets, Lexmark Carpets, and Bernhardt Hospitality. Once we found ourselves with 2 kids in full time day care and a still very bad economy, I made another decision in my life to watch my kids during the day and work during the evenings. I started waiting tables at restaurants and did so for the last 4 years while I took care of the kids during the day. Best decision I’ve ever made in my life! Now the kids are in school and pre-school and I’m back to continue my career.

In her nine years in the hospitality industry, Veronica has had the opportunity to work on a variety of luxury projects – domestic & international, focusing on historic hotel renovations and beachfront resorts. She began her career at ForrestPerkins in 2012, and then joined Wilson Associates in the spring of 2017. She volunteered on the ASID-Texas Board for two years, coordinating the ASID-Texas Magazine transition from a newsletter to a quarterly magazine. Veronica is beginning her seventh year on the NEWH Dallas Board of Directors; past positions include Programming Director, Scholarship Director, and Membership Director.
