Business Development Coordinator Job Description

Benjamin West is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support our Business Development team with new/existing business and marketing initiatives. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain professional experience in the hospitality industry, while communicating with several hospitality stakeholders. The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Business Development team through establishing and tracking all project leads, researching further information on all leads, reviewing RFPs, preparing proposals, and assisting with marketing and social media coordination. This is a full-time salaried position (40 hours per week) and reports to the Director of Business Development.

Business Development Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Business Development to determine the probability of a new opportunity and assist in pursuing new leads and report back with all findings and pertinent information.
  • Research potential project leads and cross-reference leads/projects in SalesForce. Track the project lead pipeline, follow-up on your assigned leads; enter all leads and project data into appropriate systems.
  • Assist with managing client tracking for President and Director of Business Development and enter data into appropriate systems.
  • Assist with RFP (request for proposal) review and prepare proposals to send to clients.
  • Assist the Director of Business Development with Marketing/Event PR as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Business Development with Quarterly Newsletter creation, to include content and information input/formatting.

Business Development Coordinator Experience Requirements

  • Must have high integrity and energetic personality, with a positive, go-getter mindset.
  • Demonstrate critical ability to multi-task, adapt to priorities, and remain well-organized.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally represent the company.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel is required.
  • Experience in hospitality, design, and/or procurement a plus.
  • SalesForce and Canva experience a plus, but not required.
  • 5-10% travel required, as necessary.
