Studio 11 Design is seeking an Interior Design Manager. We are a hospitality design studio focusing on renovations and new builds for hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, multi-family and brand identity. We are in Atlanta, GA and are seeking a passionate, creative designer who is looking to grow with a fast-developing firm.

Job Description:

  • Highest level of senior design leadership for the firm, engaging with all senior designers and project leaders to oversee creative design in day-to-day production on projects to meet deadlines accurately.
  • Report directly to the executive team to assist in developing the firm creatively providing insights and perspective from the design management point of view for continuous process improvement for all aspects of the firm, interior design, branding, art curation and styling, and ultimately business decisions.
  • Guide, support, and manage senior interior designer’s duties in coordination with the Director of Architectural Design and the Director of Technical Design to ensure that all design and client experience is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards of quality. In addition to communicating the company’s creative vision to design teams and stakeholders, supervise the entire design process to ensure accurate preparation of project construction documents and communication with and coordination of the preparation of documents with consultants, contractors, and team members.
  • Quality assurance and coordination for all phases of design including but not limited to oversight and mentorship in reviewing shop drawings, project submittals, etc. for document compliance; documenting code review and compliance; communicating and coordinating with management, clients, consultants, and contractors related to daily business operations.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to track timelines, manage budgets, and maintain client relationships. Keep in touch with all team members to make sure that everyone has the resources and knowledge needed to exceed. Provide insight and develop training where needed for the team.
  • Travel as necessary for projects to meet with clients, present designs, oversee and mentor team members and client’s contractors for installations.
  • Troubleshooting construction and production issues may require visiting city/clients as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of effective communication, innovation, and high-level design problem-solving.
  • Ability to oversee design team management with a collaborative leadership style which puts value on relationships, both internal and external as well as ensures high-quality design.
  • Exceptional eye for detail in reviewing and developing work developed by the design teams for graphic presentations, oral and written communication skills to convey project designs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision from senior leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color, and materials to carryout design intent.
  • Proven ability to prioritize deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in branded and unbranded hotel hospitality projects required; experience in multi-family, restaurants, event venues, and other related project types are a plus.
  • Must have bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or architecture.
  • Ability to use MS Office Products, with working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and In Design.
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors.
