Job Title: Luxury Sales & Marketing Specialist (California + Palm Springs Area)

Location: 100% Remote, ideally located within 3hrs from Joshua Tree, CA.

Company Overview:

Star-Tile.com is a woman-owned luxury boutique ceramic studio specializing in high-end handmade-to-order ceramic tiles inspired by the geometry and beauty of nature. We do not make mass manufactured tile, each design is custom and a typical order takes about 8-12 weeks to produce. We are a small studio that designs and craft all our tiles in house near Joshua Tree, California. Our multidimensional 3D tile art is designed to transport the observer into a different reality, merging the physical with the mystical. We call it “jewelry for buildings” and “cosmic adornments”. We create unique, artisanal pieces that serve as exquisite adornments for high-end projects, including boutique hotels, wellness spas, upscale retail spaces, and more. Our mission is to channel radical beauty and healing through conscious design, offering tiles that are not merely decorative but transformative. We offer custom dimensional tiles and murals, but we do not offer floor tile.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time dynamic Sales, Marketing & Linkedin Expert with deep knowledge in luxury interior design, architecture, and building sectors. With potential to evolve into full time. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with key players and a proven track record of driving brand awareness for high-end products in this space. You will serve as a brand ambassador and content creator growing the Star Tile brand. This role will involve developing content and positioning Star Tile as an expert in neuroaesthetic design and nature-inspired art. We focus on conscious design, neuroscience, beauty, cosmic influences, and the geometries found within nature.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a writer and marketer with a particular voice. Someone who considers themselves aware, intentional, in love with the natural world, and inspired by design.

Content Creation & Communication (10hrs/week):

  • LinkedIn Top Voice writers welcome. Post on LinkedIn 2-3x/week, images and content related to our ethos. Post from multiple accounts (2 owners, yours), and build out Linkedin network. Must be active on Linkedin.
  • Craft newsletter 1x/week via Substack in similar language (see startile.substack.com). An interest in nature, the etheric, and the evolution of consciousness is important. Not entirely email marketing, but similar. We would like to position ourselves as thought leaders in the realm of conscious nature-inspired luxury design.
  • Craft 2x/month blog posts, SEO optimized with our keywords; promote on Linkedin and post on our website. Collaborating with our SEO expert to ensure top visibility.
  • Instagram: We realize Instagram strategy is an entire role within itself. However, we would just like someone to create 2 posts per week, and post stories. We have in-studio events often. Please have an interest in engaging with potential luxury design partners to boost brand awareness and engagement with the design community. This shouldn’t account for more than 3 hours/week.

Sales & Marketing Strategy / Outreach (5hrs+/week, ongoing):

Immediate:

  • Identify and secure free publication opportunities in local and industry media outlets.

Ongoing:

  •  We would like to build out our reach locally. Reach out to Joshua Tree / Palm Springs-based designers and work to secure a spot on their vendor lists.
  • Attend industry events, brand ambassador
  • Develop relationships with architects, designers, and builders in the region, positioning Star Tile as a must-have in their luxury projects.
  • Spearhead branding and design aesthetic efforts, ensuring alignment with Star Tile’s ethos and luxury positioning.
  • Secure any PR opportunities. Ideally you have some experience in PR realm.

Sales Support & Development (not immediate):

  • Support independent sales representatives by providing guidance, training materials, and marketing collateral. Potential opportunity to train and become a sales rep yourself if interested.
  • Secure speaking engagements at relevant events to establish Star Tile as a thought leader in sacred and sustainable design.
  • If you are at all close to the studio, we do also need support with in-studio product images. But this is not immediate.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales and marketing, particularly in the luxury home décor, interior design, architecture, or building industries.
  • Marketing strategy experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Palm Springs and California market, with an existing network of contacts in the luxury design and architectural space. Or at least a very strong drive to create them.
  • Proven ability to create and distribute engaging content across social media platforms, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while contributing to the overall team goals.

Compensation:

Part time or Contract.
