BSF is a hospitality custom casegood and seating company that is seeking a sales representative with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, a focus on organization, and enhanced multi-tasking capabilities. B2B sales and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position along with exceptional negotiation skills and ability to uncover opportunities, pursue leads and close deals. The ideal candidate has hospitality sales experience and solid relationships with purchasing agents, interior designers, hotel owners and hotel brands in the defined territory. The individual must be able to work in fast paced, lean entrepreneurial environment with an emphasis on collective collaborative teamwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieving individual sales goals and objectives defined by the company.
- Garner quotation requests, provide feedback to company about each quote produced and close quoted projects.
- Target interior designers, purchasing agents, hotel management companies, hotel owners and hotel brands in sales representative’s defined territory.
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
- Work from existing lists and develop / prospect for other target customer lists
- Build close relationships with target customers in person and over the phone
- Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning.
- Educate target customers about the Company so they are familiar with who we are and what we do.
- Ask strategic questions to uncover information (leads) about upcoming projects
- Pursue leads and share appropriate leads with the sales team and sales management.
- Regularly promote BSF to target customer list to uncover new opportunities
- Attend critical meetings, conferences, networking events and trade shows as necessary to maintain competitive knowledge, create and adjust sales strategies
- Provide insight and support to the enterprise to better understand market trends and dynamics
- Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns
Skills and Competencies:
- Must be a motivated self-starter and be able to keep on task without direct daily supervision
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM
- Superior communication and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
- Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
Compensation:
Bonus Opportunity:
- BSF will pay commission on all paid invoices for sales brought in by the representative. Commission structure to be shared with interested parties
Education and Experience:
1. BA or BS degree
2. 3 years + Hospitality Industry experience in sales, design or operations
