Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated National Sales Manager to lead and develop our independent sales representative network across the United States. This individual will play a critical role in driving strategic growth, strengthening industry relationships, and expanding our presence among key decision-makers including designers, purchasing agents, FF&E distributors, hotel brands, and ownership groups.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in managing independent rep agencies on a national level, along with deep industry connections and a strong understanding of the hospitality procurement and design process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a national network of independent sales representatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing rep agencies in key markets
- Establish clear sales goals, performance metrics, and accountability measures for all representatives
- Conduct regular sales meetings, trainings, and performance reviews with rep groups
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including estimating, project management, engineering, and executive leadership
- Drive new business development initiatives targeting:
- Hospitality design firms
- Purchasing companies
- FF&E distributors
- Hotel brands and brand program teams
- Ownership and development groups
- Leverage existing industry relationships while actively building new connections to expand market reach
- Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Support key account development and participate in high-level client presentations
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategic direction
- Travel nationally to meet with reps, clients, and attend industry events
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7–10+ years of experience in hospitality, lighting, furniture, or related FF&E sales
- Proven experience managing independent sales representatives or agencies on a regional or national level
- Established network of industry contacts including designers, purchasing firms, and hotel brand contacts
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share
- Strong understanding of the hospitality project lifecycle, from design through procurement and installation
- Experience working with both custom product offerings and brand program requirements is highly preferred
