Position Preview:
The Technical Project Architect will be entrenched in all facets of project design and will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and/or VP in charge of design. In this role, you will provide your strong technical expertise on hospitality projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Creates construction documentation of various hospitality and multi-family projects with the design team
- Works with/within the design team from concept to completion on multiple projects of various budgets and scale simultaneously
- Creates construction drawings and updates construction documentation post review by utilizing in-depth working knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT
- Reviews construction documents and shop drawings for design compliance
- Participate in the planning of projects from budgeting to design intent
- Responsible for the coordination of project efforts both administrative and technical to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects occurs
- A client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction
- Ensures projects stay within design parameters and on deadline
- Coordinates and prepares project correspondence with the assistance of the Project Administrator(s)
- Reviews project billings with P.M. and accounting for consistency with contract terms and conditions
- Works with PM to obtains formal approval from clients to move into next phase of work
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- Expertise in luxury hospitality, multi-family or mixed-use design projects
- 6+ years of technical architectural design experience in the hospitality sector
- 6+ years of AutoCAD or REVIT experience with full construction documentation experience
- Licensure or LEED preferred but not required
- Multi-tasker, client presentation skills, conceptual development, and strong technical skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
- Proven record of managing projects during construction, including contract administration and coordination with contractors
- Experience and ability to coordinate with various consultants with architectural drawings
- Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
- Resolve complex technical and design issues
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to grasp complex functional program requirements
- Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects and meet demanding deadline
- Must be willing to travel when needed
- Fluency in English is required, Mandarin or Spanish fluency is appreciated
