Koroseal’s core product portfolio includes commercial wallcoverings, wall protection systems, dry erase presentation surfaces, digitally printed wallcoverings and other complementary specialty interior finish products (such as fabrics, wood, metal and specialty coatings). These products are specified and used by interior designers, architects, contractors, facility managers and corporations, and they are primarily featured in the hospitality, healthcare, corporate, retail and education markets. Koroseal’s marketing strategy takes a comprehensive approach to promoting its entire brand portfolio of commercial interior products. Their core brand strategy of “surface-scaping” allows their salespeople to collaborate with their customers and offer a wide range of innovative and coordinated products. This proprietary concept highlights the ease of use and interconnectivity of Koroseal products and the innovative solutions they can provide. It positions Koroseal as a “One Source Resource”, making it easier for customers to find what they need quickly and create beautiful and functional interior spaces.

In addition to its diverse range of products, Koroseal has a unique distribution model. They have the industry’s largest company-owned sales force, and they further differentiate themselves as the only vertically integrated commercial products distributor with owned production in North America. Koroseal’s experienced sales force provides substantial market coverage and best-in-class service, allowing them to forge long term relationships with their clients, form a loyal customer base and achieve strong market share.

Koroseal started in 1956 as part of the Fabricated Polymers division of B.F. Goodrich, producing commercial vinyl wallcoverings. In 1988, Koroseal was carved out of B.F. Goodrich through a management buyout to form RJF International. Koroseal grew significantly during these years by expanding both their sales force and product portfolio and through acquisitions of key companies and brands, such as Korogard Wall Protection, Walltalkers Presentation Surfaces and Metro Wallcoverings. In 2014, an affiliate of Peak Rock Capital acquired the Interior Products Division of RJF International, creating Koroseal Interior Products. In 2015, Koroseal expanded their manufacturing and distribution capabilities by completing the build out of a new 300,000 square foot state-of-the-art “super facility” in Louisville, Kentucky. This new facility offered significant capacity for growth as well as strategic and operational advantages. This included the addition of in-house digital printing capability to enhance their custom digitally printed products and assume a leadership position in this growing market.

Sangetsu purchased Koroseal from Peak Rock in November 2016. There are strong similarities and synergies between the businesses of Koroseal and Sangetsu and this multi-national partnership is well positioned for long term growth. As a combined company, Sangetsu and Koroseal can utilize their leading positions across the Pacific to achieve even greater heights together. Headquartered in Fairlawn, Ohio, Koroseal is a premiere manufacturer and distributor of commercial interior products and is a market leader in both the United States and Canada.
