The Older Women’s Cohousing Community development in Barnet
Maria Brenton speaks about the Older Women’s Cohousing Community (OWCH) which built an award-winning development of twenty-five apartments in Barnet for female residents dedicated to sharing responsibility, caring for each other, countering ageist stereotypes and being part of the wider community.
Rachel Bagenal speaks about Naked House which is building twenty-two homes in Enfield with few finishes, fittings or partitions, making them genuinely affordable for people on modest incomes and allowing people to create their own homes.
Kareem Dayes speaks about the Rural Urban Synthesis Society(RUSS) which is a members-led Community Land Trust with the aim of creating sustainable community-led neighbourhoods and truly affordable self-build homes, improving environments for people and nature alike, currently developing thirty-three homes amongst shared open space at Church Grove in Ladywell, Lewisham.
