A Minneapolis based Interior Designer with a passion for creating meaningful and functional spaces. Hannah has been on the NEWH North Central Chapter Board for over 3 years. Outside of being a designer she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling and seeking new experiences!

Genevieve is a Minneapolis-based interior designer with over 10 years of experience specializing in hospitality design. Stephanie Thompson

Stephanie has 18+ years experience working in commercial design primarily focusing on Hospitality, Housing, and Corporate Design. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Interior Design. After graduation, she became an Interior Designer for Smart Associates in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2012 She was hired at Cuningham Group Inc. and now has the opportunity to work on Larger Hospitality projects. In 2021 She started Working as an Account Executive with Parameters working specifically on FF+E with A+D And End Users. She has been a NEWH Member since 2005 and a NEWH North Central Board Member since 2007. She is a 2006/2007 NEWH Scholarship Winner. She takes pride in taking on challenges and coming up with creative solutions to those challenges on each project. Also she enjoys meeting and getting to know each client and understanding their needs and the needs of the end user, for it is vital to the success of every project.

With a degree in design from the University of Minnesota I began her career designing jewelry and women’s fashions. In 1991 I discovered the hospitality industry working for a Twin Cities design and procurement firm. In created Fashion and Function a multi-line rep firm in 2012, to bring the fine quality, beautiful products to the hospitality and senior living market. My role is bridging the gap between the manufacturer’s capabilities and the designer’s vision. Hand’s on design and sales experience enables me to understand the customer’s vision and communicate it to the manufacturer. Each project is a collaboration and an opportunity to build strong relationships with customers and manufacturers. Kindness, truthfulness and attention to detail been my guiding forces. Executive Advisor of the North Central chapter. Fundraising chair of the IBOD NEWH inc. I have served on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Inn Keepers Association (WH&LA) and as president and founding treasurer of the North Central chapter of NEWH.

I am a passionate profession that loves all things design, especially hospitality design! I received my bachelor of science degree in Interior Design and a minor in Architecture from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. As a former NEWH North Central scholarship recipient, I have stayed active in this organization and give back where I can. I am happy to be a resource for students and help them thrive in the hospitality industry.

Libby has been involved with the Minneapolis interior design/contract community for over 30 years. She grew up in Ohio where she started her career in customer service and procurement before focusing on outside sales after relocating to Minnesota. When not working Libby enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband of over 40 years, children, 7 grandchildren and her golden doodle, Gracie Jean.

NEWH has been a meaningful part of my professional journey, and I am currently serving in my third board position as Marketing Director. I have previously held roles as Treasurer and Membership Chair, experiences that have reinforced my belief in the power of networking, mentorship, and community within our industry.
