As a parent first and foremost, Maggie has had her share of fundraising events, always for a good cause. She has a fresh view on an old approach.
Demi is the Principal Designer of Demi Melissinou Design, a boutique design firm in Oakville, Ontario. She is an international Interior Designer currently working out of both Canada and Athens, Greece. With a BA and an MA from London’s Middlesex University she has been designing spaces in North America, in Europe and the Middle East for over 25 years. She has served as President of the Toronto Chapter for two consecutive terms in the past and continues being an active NEWH member until today. She is a proud mama of twins, a huge movie buff and loves good food and travelling.
Doug has an extensive background in hospitality, having worked in the industry for 20 years. He joined NEWH in 2020, serving in various roles including Fundraising Director and Programing Director, and currently holds the position of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Director. Additionally, he works as a Senior Manager for the largest hotel franchisor in Canada, overseeing new hotel openings & property improvements, where he recently celebrated 15 years with the company. Outside of work, Doug volunteers as a team leader with Habitat for Humanity. He takes pride in being an uncle to a niece and nephew, and he’s also an aviation enthusiast.

I am currently the Scholarship Director for the Toronto Chapter. As a past NEWHinc. Clifford Tuttle Scholarship recipient, the scholarship position held a special place in my heart as it has allowed me to give back to other students as the organization did for me. My career would not have been what it is today without NEWHinc. and for that, I will be forever grateful.
