Wall to Wall

Wall to Wall
Wall-to-wall carpet is a type of flooring that covers an entire floor surface from one wall to the other, creating a seamless and uniform appearance. It is also known as "fitted carpet" or "broadloom carpet".

Key Characteristics
  • Full Coverage: Unlike area rugs, which only cover a portion of the floor, wall-to-wall carpet is cut to the exact dimensions of a room, leaving no exposed floor space.
  • Installation: It is typically sold in large, wide rolls (broadloom) and requires professional installation. The installation usually involves stretching the carpet over a padding and securing it with tack strips, or adhering it directly to the subfloor with glue.
  • Seamless Look: The primary aesthetic feature is a continuous, cohesive finish that integrates into the architecture of the room.
  • Benefits: It provides several functional advantages, including enhanced comfort underfoot, sound insulation, and thermal insulation, helping to keep rooms warmer and quieter.
