Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for working with Team and Clients on designing both inside and outside spaces.
- Conceptualize overall design by following customer guidance, further developing vision, and effectively communicating design with words, imagery, hand-sketching, colors, patterns, design materials, product selections, and creation of vision boards, and power point presentations.
- Effectively space-plan for the highest and best use of all spaces.
- Use computer-aided design tools: AUTO-CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Plan and/or estimate budgets for projects.
- Supervise work progress and project installations, as required.
- Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices.
- Maintain CEUâs and other licensing requirements, if applicable.
- Maintain vendor/product awareness by attending Vendor Presentations and select Industry Events.
- Work with all members of NI team to maintain Library and Office cleanliness, organization, and usefulness.
Requirements:
- 4-year CIDA-accredited Bachelor Degree in Interior Design.
- Minimum of 3 years Residential and/or Hospitality design experience.
- Portfolio of previous work projects.
- Proficient in AUTO-CAD, Excel, Photoshop, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Experience in Revit would be a bonus.
- Working knowledge for writing Interior Specifications.
- Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of Architectural Design & Details, Building Materials, Building Codes, and Construction Techniques and Costs.
- Project Management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects, and make adjustments, often under tight deadlines.
- Display a passion for undertaking design challenges with a fresh approach.
- Enthusiastic, articulate and professional.
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Experience with creating project budgets and schedules
- Experience with selecting and sourcing FF&E, and working with manufacturers
- Exceptional client service
- Strong presentation creation skills
- Solid understanding of interior design principles, materials and finishes
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
