Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in custom area rug (inset, loose lay, wall to wall) solutions for the hospitality and commercial market. This individual will be responsible for building relationships with key decision-makers in the hospitality industry, including hotel owners, designers, architects, and procurement professionals, to promote and sell our high-quality carpets and rugs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development:
- Identify and target potential clients in the hospitality segment, including hotels, resorts, event venues, and corporate spaces.
- Cultivate relationships with interior designers, architects, project managers, and purchasing agents.
- Sales Execution:
- Achieve or exceed sales goals by presenting tailored carpet and rug solutions that meet clients’ design, performance, and budget needs.
- Conduct product presentations, sample reviews, and showroom visits to showcase our offerings.
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, providing regular updates on progress and forecasts.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for hospitality clients, addressing inquiries, providing product recommendations, and ensuring a seamless sales experience.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their project timelines and coordinate with internal teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Market Insights and Strategy:
- Stay informed about hospitality industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams to align offerings with market needs.
- Travel and Territory Coverage:
- Travel within the designated sales territory to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and networking events.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the flooring, interior design, or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of carpets and rugs, including materials, manufacturing processes, and customization options, is a plus but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decision-makers.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with hospitality groups, luxury hotels, or commercial design firms.
- Established network within the hospitality industry.
