NEWH, Inc. (“NEWH,” “we,” “us”) is the Global Hospitality Network: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting professional education, networking, and scholarships across the global hospitality design community. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We are committed to handling your information responsibly and only as needed to deliver the services you have asked us to provide.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade member contact lists with third parties for marketing purposes.
We rely on your express opt-in consent for marketing communications, mailing list subscriptions, and any optional information you choose to share with us. You can withdraw that consent at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can update your preferences in the member portal or by contacting us.
For the information we need in order to deliver membership services to you, we rely on your membership agreement with NEWH. Withdrawing consent for membership-related processing means ending your membership.
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, plus any additional period required by law. Financial records are kept for 7 years to meet IRS recordkeeping requirements. Governance records — Board minutes, officer rosters, and similar — are kept permanently as part of NEWH’s organizational history. Other records are kept on schedules tied to their purpose. Our full Personal Information Privacy and Retention Policy is available on request.
NEWH is incorporated in the United States with members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. Our membership platform is hosted in Canada. If you are located in the EU, UK, or Quebec, your information may be transferred to and stored in countries outside your own. We rely on Canada’s adequacy status under European Commission Decision 2002/2/EC and on the contractual protections in our vendor agreements as the basis for these transfers.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner if required by your local law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication for staff access, regular access reviews, and contractual data-protection requirements with every vendor that handles your data. Despite our best efforts, no system is perfectly secure — if a breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
NEWH membership and most NEWH services are intended for adults working in or studying the hospitality industry. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where a scholarship applicant is under the age of majority in their location, we require parental consent before processing their application.
