Elkay Manufacturing Company (Elkay) is a family-owned business that has been the US’s largest manufacturer of stainless steel products since the 1950s. Through the years, Elkay has continued to launch new products, designs, and innovations in many different industries. Elkay acquired Interior Systems, Inc. in 2017, growing Elkay’s business into the interior design, build, and commercial project management space. Interior Systems’ nationwide presence in the restaurant, education, hospitality, and retail markets was a natural fit when Elkay looked to expand business operations. The two entities were also closely aligned in their corporate and cultural values. This perfect fit became Elkay Interior Systems (EIS).

EIS acquired the seating and decor business of Hong Kong-based The Marketing Store in 2018, and Austrian seating and décor company Schloffer GmbH in 2019. These acquisitions strengthened EIS’s ability to serve global customers who are rapidly expanding operations in the European and Asia-Pacific markets. Today, EIS continues to grow internationally, leveraging its global footprint, comprehensive menu of services, and premium product offering. EIS continues its passion for cultivating partnerships with some of the world’s most iconic brands.

Elkay Manufacturing Company began as a vision of Leopold Katz and his son Louis on the Northside of Chicago in 1920. Their goal was to manufacture the highest quality sinks and provide exceptional service. The result: a thriving company built one satisfied customer at a time.
