Personal Statement
I am in the midst a career transition to interior design after nearly 15 years in the legal industry. I am about to complete my second semester in HCC's Interior Design program (NASAD accredited) and am slated to complete an Associates of Applied Sciences in May 2026. At the end of this Spring 2025 semester, I will have completed 33 of the 60 required hours for the degree, and am on track to maintain my 4.0 GPA. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts from TCU in Communications and a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. I have a strong background in project management, marketing, and business and client development and I am enthusiastic to bring my professional experience to a new industry as I continue to learn the nuances and specifics of working within the design industry. I am anxious to begin working in the industry and am open to various opportunities to do so - I value hands-on experience and am excited about the many possibilities that exist.
I have close to 15 years of experience in the legal industry across a variety of roles. The bulk of my experience was at Am Law 50 firms in the marketing and client development department, as well as in executive search for business service roles at law firms.
