Personal Statement
I will be attending NYU this fall to pursue my Master's in Global Hospitality Management. While in school I would like to work part time to gain hands on experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. I am interested in working for a hotel in front desk, sales, or marketing or for a tourism company.
I have previous experience in event management, guest services, hotel housekeeping, marketing, and tour guiding. As an events coordinator I helped assist in event preparation and execution including creating floor plans using Social Tables, researching venues, and submitting Internal Service Requests and Facilities Service Requests. I also coordinated event set-up and take down including signage, decorations, and audio-visual needs and directed attendees with consistent use of Excel, Avery, and Canva platforms.
I have held multiple guest-facing administrative assist roles in which I was responsible for answering phones and emails, answering guest questions, organizing the physical space, as well as digital project.
I currently work with Travel with Purpose Pact where I consult and assist with their social media platforms, primarily their LinkedIn, and do research on corporate social responsibility within the hospitality industry.
