Personal Statement

I'm a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University, studying interior design with an interest in creating meaningful spaces that support how people live, work, and connect. I'm especially drawn to commercial and hospitality environments where people come to learn, play, and rest. Design, to me, is an emotional and spatial dialogue: it speaks to memory, rhythm, and the hidden details of the human experience. I am inspired by the elegance of simplicity and how fundamental design language can create impactful, spatial experiences. As a designer, I aim to create spaces that feel both heavily ubiquitous and personal—reflections of the people who inhabit them.
