Founded in 1997, John Fearon and James Bassant came together to create Astro with a shared commitment to British lighting design and a passion for quality and precision. Now entering their 20th year, Astro’s creative ethos has remained consistent throughout – that good design demands simplicity.

Our luminaires begin life here in the UK as simple drawings within our sketchbooks. Future-proofed designs with a pared-down aesthetic. It’s a simplicity of form that ensures our products retain a timeless quality.

We believe every product should be made to last. We don’t believe in compromise and always choose the best possible processes, trusting that if the engineering is great, the final product is likely to be great too.
