ThinkL Studio is a lighting design & consultant studio founded by Sebastien Panouille in Vancouver, BC.
We Work with interior designers, architects, engineers, and owners to create comfortable and memorable lighting ambiances using light as a medium to accent the architecture and upgrade the human experience of different spaces.
As Lighting Designers, we think it is fundamental to stress how important lighting design is to the project’s overall success. We communicate to the public through the language of light. Lighting identifies brand identity, renders space, guides function, and affects human behaviors. Without good lighting, there is no color, form, or texture.
We design lighted environments by integrating creativity, technical feasibility, and engineering and ensures to combine the quality of light, visual comfort, and energy efficiency in the lighting specification using state-of-the-art technology in the industry. Driven by innovation, we promote sustainability, feasibility, and total integration.
We are part of the collaborative design team. We understand how light affects spatial perception, interaction with different finishes/materials, and integration with building systems. Our light calculations are based on the overall scheme and design intent.
Lighting solutions shall be efficient, durable, and designed for ease of maintenance of the operator. Collaboration and coordination with the design team are key in a well-integrated lighting system for a seamless experience.
Our services include hourly based consultation, conceptual design, computer lighting analysis, planning, specification, construction documentation, different level of budget, coordination with the design team as well as trade and construction teams, shop drawing review, assistance with lighting supply or lighting system and control commissioning on site.
As an independent lighting design studio, we do not have ties to any manufacturer or sales agency. Our value is in knowing a wide range of resources and the most up to date technologies which will best suit the project.
