Carlita integrates an artful approach with strategic methodologies to transform complex ideas into beautiful, unique spaces. Her creations maximize impact while crafting memorable guest experiences.

Based in Brooklyn, New York, Carlita creates inspiring, innovative, and intoxicating interior designs. With a focus on the hospitality sector, she has led her design studio since 2019. Her holistic approach uses design to craft a narrative based on a thorough understanding of project goals and client objectives.

Prior to launching her own studio, she served as a design director for a boutique design studio for several years. While there, her clients included the W New York—Times Square, LAVO NYC, Dream Downtown, Dream Midtown, and worldwide Aloft Hotels.

Her rich background includes working at the Rockwell Group alongside some of the most accomplished individuals and institutions in the hospitality industry. She honed her design skills through projects including The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Todd English P.U.B. in Las Vegas, and The Greenwich Hotel, owned by Robert De Niro, in Tribeca, New York.

Carlita has a degree in Industrial Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Her vision and passion for design and architecture stem from roots in drawing, painting, and woodworking.

Starting as a playful nickname, Carlita’s Instagram handle, Queen of Interiors, has come to represent her warm, joyful outlook in creating spaces that help ground people, make them feel better, and foster an awareness of the self and the brand. Fueled by optimism and curiosity, Carlita believes that everyone should feel like the queen of their own interiors.
