My name is Alicia Bugbey, and I have a bachelor of science degree in Interior Design from Oregon State University. It is clear to me now that I have always had an innate sense and ability to become a future Designer. I was eleven when I began to draw floor plans on graph paper of my bedroom to redecorate it without having to move anything. At twelve, I began going to auctions with my mom where we collected an antique desk, and was taught to refinish it. Since, I have refinished too many pieces to count. When I was fourteen, I started peeling the wallpaper from my walls, and that didn’t end well as we didn’t have the resources available to invest in paint, oops.

My desire to become an Interior Design really developed and flourished after breaking ground on my personal home renovation in 2016, so much so that I made a decision to pursue my degree in Interior Design at OSU. My husband, a Landscape Architect and prior business owner of Bugbey & Associates Landscape Architecture, and I have recently made a decision to relocate from Eugene to Bend, Oregon this summer.

Through my hands-on experience, I have gained valuable insight and perspectives within the industry of Design. Residential/High-End Residential, Commercial, and Hospitality Design are all areas in which I feel would align best with my skillsets. I’m particularly interested in positions with a Design/Build company that would allow me to enhance my proficiency in software applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketch-up and most importantly, client interaction.
