Soon after founding his eponymous retail shop in 1972 in Albany, California, Kermit Lynch began exclusively selling his own imports from French and Italian winegrowers, purchasing wines direct from the domaines and focusing on small producers whose wines express the authentic style of their native region. The wines are transported from the winery in temperature-controlled trucks and refrigerated containers to the United States, thus ensuring the utmost quality and provenance throughout the import process.

We only import wine we drink and enjoy ourselves, directly from the source. Therefore, our curated selection only includes wines made by our growers in Italy and France from whom we buy every year.
Our wine tastes the same in your home as it did when it was bottled in Europe. We transport all of our wines from our growers’ cellars to our warehouses exclusively in refrigerated trucks and containers, and we guarantee 100% perfect provenance with every bottle.
