THE PINNACLE AWARD
The NEWH Pinnacle Award (formerly known as Recognition of Excellence Award) will be given to an NEWH member who has contributed extraordinary time and effort to NEWH, has a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry, has held a local Chapter and/or International Board position for at least one term, and has mentored four people in the industry, at least two of whom are women. The nominee must also have unquestioned professional ethics.
Award Presentation:
The award presentation will take place at the biennial NEWH Leadership Conference. Awardees must be able to attend presentation.

THE ICON of Industry AWARD
Each year NEWH gives out its most prestigious award, the ICON of Industry. The award celebrates the leaders of the manufacturing side of hospitality, those who have uniquely impacted the industry through their innovative work, consistently dedicated their time and efforts to community or industry outreach through education and/or corporate giving, and been doing business in hospitality for more than 30 years.
In addition, each year an international scholarship is given to an exemplary student in the recipient’s honor, who has completed at least half of their program toward a degree in the hospitality industry, has financial need, has a minimum 3.0 GPA, and exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and scholarship. The recipient’s travel and lodging to the award presentation is paid by NEWH, Inc.
Award Presentation:
This award is presented at the Gold Key Awards Reception in New York City held in conjunction with BDNY.

NEWH COLLEGE OF FELLOWS
Purpose
Fellowship is bestowed on NEWH members who have made notable contributions to the Hospitality Industry, not only through their work, but through their demonstrated commitment to NEWH.
The application process is held every other year and is conducted by the Chair of the College of Fellows together with a jury of selected members of the College. Fellows will be inducted at the Leadership Conference.

THE STRUCTURES OF HOSPITALITY EXCELLENCE (SOHE) AWARD
NEWH continues to be at the forefront of recognizing excellence in the hospitality industry. NEWH will honor construction companies for their exceptional methods, processes and team management that have contributed to the creation of significant and outstanding hospitality renovations and new build structures worldwide with the NEWH SOHE Award. In honor of these award-winning companies, sponsors will be donating funds for scholarships to students pursuing careers in construction.
In conjunction with this award NEWH will be giving two scholarships. A $10,000 scholarship to be awarded to a 4-year student of architecture, construction management, civil or environmental engineering or project management and up to a $5,000 scholarship to be awarded to a student pursuing a technical certificate or associate degree in construction, construction management, electrical technology, pipe fitting, plumbing and heating technology, etc. from a construction trade school.
Award Presentation:
The first award is scheduled to be awarded during the ALIS DESIGN+ Event at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, CA, January of 2025.

TopID Award
What is TOP ID?
RECOGNIZING DESIGN FIRMS FOR SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY – The TopID award is a prestigious honor determined by NEWH chapter and regional boards to recognize design excellence and promote design firms engaged in supporting NEWH and its mission of scholarship and education. A firm’s custom design work in the hospitality industry, along with membership and support the firm has provided the NEWH chapter/region, is considered in the selection process. This exclusive recognition is NEWH’s way of supporting and promoting our Designer membership. Not only are firms acknowledged for their design, engagement, and generous support of their local hospitality industry, they are also celebrated internationally across the vast network of professionals in the industry

NEWH Joyce Johnson Award
Description of Award/Qualifications:
The NEWH Joyce Johnson Award of Excellence will be given to an NEWH member who has contributed extraordinary time and effort to your local NEWH chapter, has been a chapter member for at least 7 years, has held a local chapter board position for at least one term, and has mentored chapter members and helped strengthen the chapter to achieve its goals. The nominee must also have unquestioned professional ethics.
