Quintus

Literally translated from Latin, Quintus means fifth. However, its relation to the word quintessence is where meaning is found for our brand. The word quintessence was first used to describe the substance, the pure essence, of which the heavenly bodies are composed. Along with the other four known elements (water, earth, fire and air), this essential purity was an integral component of all physical things. Simply put, quintessence means perfection.

In November 2014 Jobst Blachy purchased Quintus; fulfilling a dream of owning a luxury brand in the design industry. The guiding principle for Quintus is succinctly put:

Jobst was born into the furniture industry and has passionately pursued excellence in the industry for over 20 years. He has an obsession with operations and service, and an understanding of the needs of the interior designer. 2015 will be an exciting turning point for Quintus- with new service, enhanced operations, and stunning new design all on the horizon.
