Position Description

Wendover Art Group seeks an Art Consultant who has something to prove – and someone who wants to be a part of building the best art company in the world. Wendover’s Art Consultant position offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for fine art and design professionals to become specialists within the Commercial art markets while building relationships with top industry customers across the country. Wendover’s goal is to develop Art Consultants with well-rounded, fine-tuned, creative and business minds who will be responsible for the full scope of custom artwork packages including business development, product development, quoting, graphic manipulation and project management. Wendover’s leading design and manufacturing focus allows the Art Consultant immediate access to an unparalleled business based fine arts platform.

Art Consultants will work with the nation’s leading design firms, management companies, purchasing groups, corporations, healthcare providers, casinos and hospitality brands to design, develop and curate custom artwork programs. Wendover’s integrated design and manufacturing platform allows the Art Consultant full creative control in bringing a client’s vision from concept to creation and installation. Wendover’s industry leading investment in product capabilities spans graphic design, print technology, artist partnerships and an in-house Creative team of skilled, multi-disciplinary artisans. Wendover’s database of active artists paired with the Company’s internal Creative team provides an unmatched source of fresh content and leading capabilities.

The Wendover Art Consultant will have a significant role in fostering new client relationships and growing existing relationships which directly impacts the Company’s overall performance. Along with rapid skill building, the Art Consultant’s development is driven by a team of senior Art Consultants and Wendover’s Directors of Business Development who provide direct mentorship and guidance to each team member.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key relationships with leading design firms, hospitality brands, ownership groups, purchasing firms and retail partners.
  • Interpret and reinforce design concepts through artwork sourcing, graphic manipulation, unique finishing treatments, and creative solutions that can be applied to commercial projects, private level artwork programs for retailers, or Wendover in-line artwork development.
  • Construct and present inspiring conceptual design and imagery presentations that meet client specifications and utilize intelligent design principles to fit within budget, perceived market value, and leverage Wendover’s expanding capabilities.
  • Create accurate and detailed artwork specifications of selections and work closely with team throughout the quotation and production process
  • Create and edit artwork placement specifications
  • Represent Wendover Art Group at tradeshows, client meetings and industry events
  • Develop and maintain reporting across all project responsibilities

What Else Do We Look For?

  • 1-3 years of experience in Interior Design, Fine Art, Studio Arts or other Design focused roles
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Art History, Studio Art, or other related Art or Design fields
  • A personal passion for art and design
  • Ability to develop art trend boards based on aesthetic objectives
  • Ability to provide and interpret art and design direction to achieve a desired aesthetic
  • Entrepreneurial and inquisitive mindset with a passion for doing things right all the time
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under multiple competing deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a consistently heavy workload with precision
  • Driven and competitive in spirit with a team first mentality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Basic skills of Photoshop and InDesign is preferred
