Dallas Bentley is Director of Hospitality Sales for Marietta Drapery Company, a family business that manufactures and installs window coverings. He is a graduate of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and his previous position was Director of Marketing at Kennesaw State University, the 3rd largest university in Georgia. He is passionate about mentoring and education, and is a proud Big Brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta program.

After graduating from Florida State University in 2005, Jamie Malys spent the first 15 years of her design career in South Florida, working with some of the best names in hospitality design. The challenge, innovation, and collaboration of hospitality design has always been a passion for her. And the opportunity to be connected with an organization like NEWH helps fuel that passion. With a desire for a change of climate, Jamie relocated with her fiancé to Atlanta in August 2020. She is currently a Senior Interior Designer at Banko Design, in Marietta, GA focusing on the team’s hospitality projects.

Jennifer Wellman

Jennifer Wellman started in the hospitality industry in 2000. With a Bachelor of Fine Art in Sculpture from Georgia State University she naturally wanted to pursue a career in art and accepted a job with Deljou Art Group. Since her first job in art, Jennifer has gone on to work with Soho Myriad starting as an art consultant and leaving as the Director of Sales. She then became the Managing Director at EDL Art Consultants, and remained there until she accepted a position with Lexmark Hospitality as the Director of Architecture and Design Solutions, and is now VP of Architecture and Design Sales.
Jennifer has worked on several large hospitality projects including the Fort Worth Omni, Trinidad Grand Hyatt, and the Arizona Biltmore.

Megan Markham is a National Account Manager in Hospitality Sales for Marietta Drapery & Window Coverings. She is a graduate from the School of Communication & Media at Kennesaw State University and a member of the KSU Society of Leadership & Success. Megan enjoys working with students and volunteering her time to help with NEWH Scholarships.

Debanshee Kalani

Debanshee Kalani

Debanshee Kalani is an Architect from Mumbai, India who is passionate about creating environments that promote healing and encourage wellness. Since early age, she has been eager to understand the language of design and curious about how people respond to it.
She is a M.F.A graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and is currently working at Design Directions International, a local award-winning design firm in Marietta, GA where she looks forward to learning and growing as an Interior designer. She is a former Atlanta Chapter Scholarship Recipient and has also won an award for her thesis at the ASID Excellence Awards. In 2020, Debanshee was a student representative for the Atlanta hospitality industry with her role as the NEWH Student Liaison. She is now the Student Relations Director for the 2021 Board, where she aspires to undertake programs to help students expand their professional network within the hospitality industry.

Debanshee believes it is optimal to balance every individual element with the different functions of the built environment and looks forward to finding connections with people that can help cultivate meaningful design solutions.

Emily Hatch

Growing up with a father who owned a residential tile company, Emily found herself immersed in all things ceramic from a young age. While in college she started a job as a Design assistant for a Stone & Tile company in Atlanta. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Interior Design from GA State, she continued her work in the Design and Tile industry working for a company in Savannah, GA as a kitchen and bath designer. She moved back to Atlanta to become an A&D rep. For the past 5 years, Emily has worked as a Senior A&D Rep in the Atlanta market with a focus on National Accounts and Hospitality. Emily currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Paul Tilbian, and the two most spoiled mutts, Huxley & Hashbrown.

Brittany Panachida

Brittany is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Brittany began her career within the hospitality market as an Art Consultant with Wendover Art Group where she led the Vacation Ownership segment of their business. Her experience also includes prototypical brand scheme development with all major brands and custom projects with leading design firms across the country. Brittany serves as the Membership Chair of the Atlanta NEWH Board, and is pleased to bring her relational and business development skills to Banko Design.

Connie  Land

Connie Land is the Regional Sales Manager for Hanes Hospitality, a division of Leggett & Platt. Connie has a BSc in Furnishings and Interiors from the University of Georgia. After graduation, Connie worked for iconic interior designer Dan Carithers and with IHG prior to opening her own residential design firm, which she ran for 10yrs. Connie has been in hospitality design and sales since 2014, first with Grohe/American Standard prior to joining Hanes Hospitality in 2018.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her busy 15yr old son, running, playing tennis or volunteering and is the founder of Atlanta’s Shamrock N Roll road race and Estrellitas.

Nina Perala is a Sales Manager for Quiltcraft Industries. She’s an Industrial Design graduate from Georgia Tech & got her start in the hospitality industry with Wendover Art Group as an Art Consultant. Nina lives with her dog, Queso, in West Midtown & arguably plays way too much tennis.
