At the ‘Key Party’, Design Teams will be paired up with Manufacturers and given a blank chair. The Manufacturers will then provide their Design Team with material that is to be incorporated into the chair design. The Design Teams have until September 20th to create their works of art that will be judged the night of the Design Competition.

FORM A TEAM…Choose to participate in one of 3 team categories:DESIGN FIRM TEAMSDESIGN FIRM TEAMS are randomly matched with a DESIGN TEAM SPONSOR. The DESIGN TEAM SPONSOR provides materials that the DESIGN FIRM TEAM must incorporate into their chair design. STUDENT TEAMSChairs should be comprised of materials found in studios and libraries. INDEPENDENT TEAMSIndependent teams have limitless possibilities for the materials to incorporate into their chair design. Refer to the COMPETITION GUIDELINES section for additional information. |

Attend the Key PartyDesign Teams will be paired up with Manufacturers and blank chairs will be given to all the TEAMS per the COMPETITION GUIDELINES. NOTE: Must be at least 21 years of age to attend the Key Party as the event will be held at the Artisan Hotel Bar. Those under 21 must make pick-up arrangements for the chair(s) on a later date. |
