Greetings Atlanta Community,

It is with deepest regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 2024 NEWH Atlanta St. Marlo Golf fundraiser.

In past years we have enjoyed bringing our community out to St. Marlo to enjoy a relaxing day of golfing and fun while supporting our chapter’s goals to raise money for student scholarships. For many years we have been excited to host this event and it has flourished. However, this year we have struggled to gain participation in this event and therefore after careful consideration made the tough decision to cancel. The lack of fundraising left us in a precarious position as a non-profit organization dedicated to fundraising to assist students in need. Hosting an event that might result in financial loss is not feasible for us. We truly appreciate the sponsors and guests who did plan to attend and support our chapter and hope to see the continued support.

Last year because of your participation and support we were able to give away $60,000 in scholarship money to 9 students and we did not want to lose that momentum. We remain committed to the Atlanta community and to our students. In the future we plan to make changes that will help us overcome the challenges that we faced this year. We have new bright ideas that we are excited to share with the community in due time.

Again, we are deeply sorry about not being able to execute this year’s event and any unfulfilled expectations that this may cause. We hope to see you at future events such as the NEWH Atlanta Regional Tradeshow in August and our Annual Holiday Scholarship and Awards Gala in December. Please check our website for hotel tours and membership events as well!
