Position: Hospitality Business Development Manager

The Hospitality Business Development Leader is responsible for developing and leading direct strategic business sales with key luxury and boutique hospitality procurement groups, designers and ownership groups in the Western Territory. Candidates with SALES experience in casegoods and seating with a deep understanding of the luxury and boutique hospitality industry will be most successful in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an annual business development growth plan for the Western Area of the US, identifying luxury direct Hospitality targets that would be the right customers for us to work with strategically to elevate our brand, achieve our quarterly and annual revenue and margin goals and do work we’re proud of.

The Hospitality Business Development Leader will focus on selling to existing and new customers located in the West. Cities initially most targeted are Las Vegas, Denver, LA and San Francisco. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an outgoing, ambitious, and dynamic sales personality. Experience in managing sophisticated partner relationships including significant communication, interpersonal, teamwork/collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Source and develop existing and new business opportunities
  • Effectively present and explain our custom case goods, seating, vanities and public space furniture and their intended value to prospective clients
  • Manage and maintain a robust pipeline to achieve monthly sales goals
  • Continually refine processes to stay in front of customers in relevant industries
  • Travel twice per month
  • Attend industry meetings and trade shows
  • Understand and utilize Salesforce and Smartsheets

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of direct B2B sales experience to developers and owners in the hospitality industry, with a strong understanding and point of view on North American luxury and boutique hotel brands and their respective positioning in the market
  • Proven direct owner/developer, design, and purchasing group relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers involved in the specification, approval and purchasing process of FF&E scope
  • Highly motivated self-starter that performs consistently in a fast-paced environment with excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert sales and negotiating skills, confident and effective in leading presentations to senior level stakeholders/decision makers
  • Highly skilled in sales growth planning and in providing accurate sales forecasts for project -based business
  • Proficient in multiple systems and spreadsheets, i.e. CRM/Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google applications, and Smartsheets
  • Ability to travel nationally as required for strategic customer and project needs
  • Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in sales growth planning and in providing accurate sales forecasts for project -based business
