Emerald is seeking a Marketing Director to develop and execute marketing strategy for our hospitality portfolio, including the HD Expo + Conference and the Boutique Design New York (BDNY) trade events.
The Marketing Director is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing a marketing strategy to drive lead generation to deepen engagement, grow sales, and audience attendance across the brands. In addition, the Marketing Director will monitor and measure effectiveness in real-time, making strategic choices about pivots to ensure organizational goals are met across campaigns and events. This position needs to equally comfortable and capable of developing strategy and tactically executing that strategy.
This position will be based in our Alpharetta, GA office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of bottom-up, ROI-focused multichannel b2b marketing campaigns that achieve audience goals by increasing brand awareness, increasing registrations and up-sells/cross-sells, nurturing prospects, and generating qualified net-new leads.
- Develop holistic strategies to grow trade event attendance through the brands’ smaller regional and invite-only events, including HD NextGen, BD Forums, HD Summit, BD Match, HD CitySCENES and more.
- Collaborate with internal editorial teams to lead strategy on endemic social media campaigns and channels to increase awareness, drive registrations, and engage community
- Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and goals of all campaigns and events throughout the year.
- Develop high-level marketing communication strategies for top-priority campaigns and drive messaging and branding.
- Monitor registration pacing, campaign, engagement, and lead generation trends/performance and offer recommendations and direction on crucial areas of improvement and optimization.
- Manage PPC budget and campaigns, ensuring appropriately allocated budgets and monitoring campaign and conversion efficiency.
- Manage direct and indirect marketing costs and provide recommendations on where to allocate budgets effectively
- Identify data sources and maintain analytics for marketing campaigns and pre-reg attendance
- Act as marketing automation lead, offering guidance planning and execution
- Collaborate with edit survey
Qualifications:
- Experience in developing and executing strategic multi-channel marketing initiatives for B2B products; events or hospitality experience is a plus
- Experience successfully using marketing automation and sales CRM platforms (Hubspot and Salesforce experience a plus)
- Experience creating strategic digital marketing plans, including social media, analytics tools, and website enhancements
- Experience defining and translating data into actionable insights that drive marketing strategy
- Creative mindset with a history of conceiving new and innovative campaigns
- Proactive work style that demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize, multitask, and identify potential challenge areas
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate successfully with multiple functional groups internally (sales, editorial, operations, conference) and externally (exhibitors, advertisers, vendors)
- Experience with additional tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau, and A2Z is a plus
