Greige Good Studio – Hermosa Beach, CA

Greige Good Studio is looking to add a new team member in the role of senior designer and project manager. Our studio is comprised of 5 dynamic team members and we are looking to add well qualified team member that fits within the culture of our studio. We are working on an exciting mix of hotel and restaurant projects. Qualified designers should have minimum 7 years hospitality design experience (restaurant experience is a plus) and be well versed in both FF&E and construction documentation. Designer will be expected to take a leadership role both within the office and with our clients. Responsibilities will include site visits, participation in schematic design, oversite of presentation materials and construction documentation, participating in project conference calls and meetings, managing project deadlines and deliverables, and overseeing support staff for production of project deliverables. The position is in person. Our studio located in beautiful downtown Hermosa Beach, with a 2-minute walk to the sand, shops and restaurants. Hours are 9-6, in the office M-Th and working a ½ day Friday from home. This job is a full-time salaried position and will include paid holidays, 10 days of PTO, 5 sick/personal days and health insurance (75% of premium covered), Health Saving Account and 401K with 3% dollar for dollar matching. Salary starts at $95,000/year depending on experience and can be discussed during interview process.

Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Oversee the design process from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget | Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet client requirements | Review and approve design concepts, schematics, and construction documents | Conduct regular design reviews to provide feedback and ensure adherence to quality standards | Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and support throughout the design process | Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services | Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree – Proven experience in design management, preferably in a senior role | Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively | Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop | Strong leadership and communication skills. – Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
