About the Role:

As a Senior Project Designer, will be an integral part of the collaborative design process across all project phases, contributing your expertise and guidance while ensuring attention to detail and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring efficient execution and timely completion.
  • Cultivate and nurture client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and representative of our firm.
  • Collaborate with the Director to establish project deliverables and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Review and approve digital color boards for presentations, ensuring adherence to design intent and brand standards.
  • Develop design narratives based on thorough research and analysis, guiding the team to create unique solutions tailored to each market segment.
  • Provide direction and feedback on furniture and finishes selections, maintaining a keen eye for quality and aesthetics.
  • Create digital design presentations for client and brand review, showcasing innovative concepts and solutions.
  • Write and quality control FF+E specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Work on ID drawing sets with the team, delegating tasks as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage project and construction timelines, proactively addressing any schedule changes or challenges.
  • Coordinate construction documentation sets to accurately reflect design intent and material specifications.
  • Operate AutoCAD system proficiently, ensuring accurate drafting and documentation.
  • Direct installers confidently and competently, overseeing project installation as required.
  • Review and approve all millwork shop drawings, FF+E shop drawings, and finish samples, maintaining quality assurance.
  • Conduct architectural plan critiques and review construction documents as needed, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Prepare design presentations, attend on-site project meetings, and participate in project installations as required.
  • Demonstrate professional maturity and leadership, positively promoting the firm in external marketing opportunities.
  • Provide management support to design staff, offering feedback and review of performance.
  • Coordinate design solutions with vendors and project consultants, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and ADA guidelines throughout the design process.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for precise drafting and modeling.
  • Experience with SketchUp, including the Enscape plug-in, for immersive 3D visualization.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for creating captivating design presentations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel, for document creation and organization.
  • Ability to write detailed FF+E specifications with accuracy and clarity.
  • NCIDQ certification is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support project requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts: Interior Design or related field.
  • Associate Degree in Interior Design considered based on professional experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with hospitality experience preferred but not required.
