Manufactured from over 90 percent recycled content, Protect-All® utilizes a process that fuses together remnant industrial-strength vinyl into one monolithic piece. Most importantly, this process keeps millions of pounds of vinyl waste out of landfills annually.

Protect-All specifically includes vinyl from the commercial roofing industry, but the story doesn’t end there. Oscoda Plastics®, Inc. offers a Take Back Program. The program accepts clean, post-installation remnants and overages and recycles them for use in other products.

Sustainability is fundamental in all areas of the company. Distributors and architects may return samples, trade show flooring will always find a new home, and the water used to cool extruders is part of a closed-loop process. Even pallets, screws, cardboard and metal components are recycled.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and The Green Building Initiative (GBI) are committee-based, member-driven, consensus focused non-profit organizations committed to expanding sustainable building practices.

USGBC is responsible for developing the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. For additional information about the USGBC, go to www.usgbc.org.

The Green Building Initiative offers the Green Globes environmental assessment and certification programs for commercial buildings. For additional information about GBI, go to www.thegbi.org
